Senior .Net Developer

Computer System Innovations (CSI) is a small, consulting firm based in Wheaton, IL. We are a leading provider of consulting services to the association and iMIS user community. We pride ourselves on delivering a positive customer experience through consulting projects and support services.
We are looking for a talented, senior (5-7 years) .Net developer. Qualified candidates must have excellent knowledge of object oriented design and development on a Microsoft .Net platform. In this role, you will be a lead developer responsible for developing, supporting, maintaining, and debugging CSI’s client related applications and web development projects using our existing tools and methodology. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, resourceful, self starter capable of getting up to speed quickly and adhering to company standards. The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a result-driven, consultant style attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to work as part of a team - Candidate will be a lead developer on the development team and work closely with external clients, as well as our consulting team to design, build, and test development projects
- Provide technical troubleshooting, configuration and deployment for both the applications and their underlying infrastructure
- Desire to investigate development issues, resolve problems, and communicate status
- Prioritize internal development activities along with urgent, often unscheduled, development requests with a high level of urgency and responsiveness
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Partner with the consulting team to support clients and remote users
- Communicate with third-party software vendors for additional support
- Assist with estimating development efforts and timelines
- Keep up-to-date on development techniques and apply those techniques when analyzing and developing system applications
- Flexible and open minded attitude as you may be called upon to troubleshoot client issues, who may be using operating systems and software that you may not by an expert on
Qualifications:
Required Technical Skills:
- 5+ years experience writing SQL, preferably for Microsoft SQL Server
- 5+ years of experience in application programming and web development.
- 3+ years of experience developing with ASP.NET
- 3+ years of experience with C#, CSS, HTML, and JavaScript
- Experience developing relational database structures
- Strong mathematical and logical skills with extreme accuracy to detail
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop, implement, and support comprehensive programming plans
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience using one or more of the following: iMIS , Ektron, Visual Basic 6
- Experience in a small consulting firm environment
