iMove 2.01 Release

iMove has recently undergone a number of improvements, on top of a series of performance enhancements, to better certify addresses with the new postal regulations using NCOA address validation.

First, the user interface has been greatly improved for easier data browsing. The original information presented in the data grid has been filtered down to a select number of fields, while an additional dialog has been added for complete detailed information for individual records. A benefit to this new strategy is that the results of the NCOA update process are presented in an identical format, again, making it easier to browse the results. In addition, there are several other small updates, such as the standardization of the menu system.

Second, the performance has been enhanced to better handle large sets of data. The most noticeable is a huge reduction in the memory footprint. iMove allows data to be loaded and reloaded an unlimited number of times, which may include any number of NCOA update operations.

Overall, iMove has been well enriched to make NCOA compliance easier than ever before.

"It would be beneficial to upgrade from 7 to 8 because of all the new features, especially for those interested in social networking.” Moli

iMIS 15.1.2 Released

Advanced Solutions International, Inc. is proud to announce this enhancement update to iMIS 15.1. This release adds to the iMIS 15 release, meaning that you can install it easily at any site already using iMIS 15. You can also upgrade directly from iMIS 10.6.

New website template added, for iParts

A new flexible-width template, 1600, is available for the websites you create in WCM. This fluid template helps you in placing iParts because the page elements flow to adapt to the available space on the site visitor's screen.

Communities enhancements: roles and moderation

Communities now supports greater collaboration and control with the creation of two new roles, Moderator and Wiki Author. Moderators help with monitoring forum subscriptions and approving postings to moderated forums. Wiki authors extend the group of writers who collaborate to develop specific wikis (collections of articles) that are set to be read-only for community subscribers.

Accrual dues support for Public views

iMIS now lets you accept payment for accrual dues in the web-based views. Members can pay their dues along with their event registrations and other purchases. When members pay their accrual dues in Public or Web views, iMIS updates the WEB batch and creates new transaction records. To use this feature, you enable the Accept Payments on the Web option on the Billing Products window, so that billing products appear on the web.

Installation enhancements

  • Multi-instance Installation Utility — This release rolls out a utility that helps you quickly install additional instances of iMIS. This makes it easy, for example, to generate production copies from test installations. The utility automates such things as creating new instances of the publishing, workflow, and indexing services and updating configuration files for the second instance.
  • Silent installation support — The iMIS Installer can now run in silent mode to simplify installing or upgrading iMIS Desktop clients on staff workstations after an update has been applied to your iMIS application server.
  • Database Upgrader resumes — When upgrading a 15.1.1 database, if the upgrade fails at any step, you can now fix the iMIS database and resume the database upgrade at the start of the step that failed. (Releases prior to 15.1.1 still require restarting the upgrade with a restored and fixed database.)

PCI Compliance options

iMIS now offers PCI Compliance support options that make it easier for your organization to implement a strategy to meet PCI Compliance requirements. Enabling the PCI feature in AR/Cash setup enforces the mode that you select: Maintain audit log when cardholder information is accessed or Do not retain cardholder information. The first option lets you keep supporting deferred payment processing; it logs an audit trail each time someone accesses cardholder information that you're storing in iMIS. The second option prevents storage of cardholder information in the database completely, and it includes a database utility to purge all existing cardholder information as well.

Gateway support

  • Gateway reference numbers displayed throughout iMIS
  • Native SafePay (QSI) support for web transactions
  • Gateway naming standardized throughout iMIS
  • Developer's guide for custom gateways on iMIS Community

Additional enhancements

  • iMIS supports IE 8 by automatically applying compatibility mode
  • Purging contact records using DB Repair
  • Automatic propagation of uploaded images to all servers
  • Company search options in web views
  • Non-authorizing credit card fields are disabled

USPS to Delay Penalty Date for Move Update Regulations

The USPS has announced that it will delay imposing penalties for non-compliance with the new Move Update regulations until January 4, 2010. The original date for the implementation of penalties had previously been set for May 11, 2009.

"Delaying implementation allows extra time to provide our Standard Mail customers with additional feedback from our new postage verification systems, but does not relieve mailers of their obligation to comply with the Move Update standard if they intend to claim automation or presort prices,” said the USPS.

The USPS plans to use a verification process, using samples taken from mailings, to test compliance with the new regulations. First-Class or Standard Mail mailing with a 30% or more error rate for Move Update will not pass the USPS® verification process and will be penalized.

For a Standard Mailing every piece in the mailing will be charged an additional $0.07 per piece. For a First-Class Mail mailing, every discount price piece in the mailing will be charged at the applicable single-piece price. Mailers will have the option to withdraw their mailing or pay the additional postage.
