ICE - The Interactive Chapter Experience
Bring all of your online experiences
together through ICE, the Interactive Chapter Experience. ICE
leverages your iMIS
data to deliver a rich experience to your members through your
website and capturing important information from your
members. Together with a robust chapter management portal
fraternal organizations are realizing efficiencies, reducing
costs, and impressing members.
ICE includes three core components:
dynamic content from your iMIS database delivered directly to
your website, a chapter management portal that reads from and
posts back directly to your iMIS database, and a social
networking engine that allows your members to connect in a
private environment where your organization benefits from
members sharing their experiences!
Integrating iMIS into Your Website
ICE complements and enhances the iMIS 15
Public User Views to provide member logins, profile updates,
and member directories. In addition, ICE uses the power of
the data in your iMIS database to provide real-time access to
committee rosters, staff listings, and chapter directories.
No longer will your staff need to update basic information in
both the membership system and on the website - with ICE
information is updated in many cases by members themselves and
then posted directly to the web.
ICE provides a single sign-on experience
for your users to manage their personal information, access
secure areas of your website, or to conduct transactions like
registering for your next convention. All of your electronic
assets can be accessed directly from the login on your
homepage.
Automate Chapter Reporting
Your organization thrives on the data
that comes in regarding membership, academics, scholarship,
philanthropy, and housing. ICE makes the collection and
processing of that data easy. Simple wizards let your chapter
leaders and members know when information is due to
headquarters and also walks them through the process online.
No need to process paper forms, incoming emails, or faxed
documents.
Through ICE, membership changes are
processed and posted directly to your iMIS database. Approval
workflows allow you to have a distributed approval network of
local, regional, or national volunteers and culminates with a
staff review. The entire process of inducting new members,
reporting initiations and graduations, and all of your
membership changes are automated.
You define the additional data you want
to collect and when through the use of our form designer and
task center event manager. The additional data posts to the
common demographic tables that leverage the iMIS architecture.
Chapter leaders, volunteers, and staff
will always have the pulse of their chapter through live
reporting. Your membership will grow through accountability
as those with appropriate permissions see membership trends,
collection history, and academic results over time for each
chapter in easy to understand graphs and charts.
Leverage the Power of Social Networking
ICE is built on the Ektron CMS400.Net
content management and social networking platform. By
bringing together iMIS membership information with the social
networking tools of Ektron, ICE creates a user experience that
is vibrant for your members and captures important information
for your organization through a single website.
The key to success of a social networking
site is traffic. Provide your members and chapters with the
tools that increase site traffic including blogs, wikis,
discussion forums, photo and document libraries, event
calendars, and interaction with members from throughout your
organization.
Contrary to other social networking
sites, your ICE site will already bring together all of the
members of your chapters, your national working committees,
and your alumni networks. ICE leverages the information we
already know about your members - like what chapter they are a
part of - to pre-populate many of the relationships that other
sites don't have. Your members will share more information
about themselves such as their employment, graduate degrees,
and family information because they are sharing the info with
other members that they want to connect or reconnect with.
